Model and Visual Identity
Alongside her musical career, Akemi also works as a model and is represented by New Madison Models in Paris. This combination of music, fashion and performance gives her a unique presence in front of the camera and makes her an inspiring subject for contemporary portrait photography.

The portrait series with Akemi Fujimori captures the depth and versatility of an artist who moves effortlessly between music, performance and fashion. Born in Paris to Japanese and Belgian parents, Akemi brings a distinctly international perspective to her creative work.

Music and Stage
Akemi began playing classical piano at the age of five and later expanded her musical skills to bass, guitar, drums and vocals. Today, she produces electronic music with her duo project dismæze, where she merges technical precision with an experimental, atmospheric sound.
When she is not in the studio, Akemi spends much of her time on tour, performing live or accompanying artists such as Prudence, Victor Solf, Isabel Sörling and Naive New Beaters. Her stage presence, artistic drive and emotional intensity are central to her identity as a performer.

My work as photographer Andrea Herzog focuses on capturing the artistic essence, personality and visual identity of creatives, performers and public figures. Based in Frankfurt and working internationally, I create portraits that combine authenticity, modern aesthetics and a strong sense of narrative imagery.

Another impressive project that Carol co-founded is Cartels Paris, an artist collective with 36 studios housed in a 2,000 m² residence in La Défense, Paris. It provides a space for around 40 creatives to collaborate and develop their artistic visions. Cartels fosters cross-disciplinary exchange and enriches Paris’s vibrant art scene.
